| I haven't listened to the radio in years because I've been avoiding the mindless drivel that most "artists" are putting out there. I'm eternally grateful to my BF for introducing me to SOAD. It's wonderful to see a group of intelligent musicians putting their opinions out there like this. They may be fairly liberal, however, that's merely because they are brave enough to sing (and shout now and then, lol) the things that so many of us feel are our opinions alone. I just hope that more and more people wake up and hear the truth in these songs (and the killer beats don't hurt either!) |

| I'm sure everyone has a certain type of SOAD song that appeals most to them. For example, I tend to enjoy the ones with a message I can relate to, moreso than the wacky random-seeming ones, like that terracotta-pie one. SOAD rawks because their music encompasses so many styles and perspectives, and a person who enjoys their music may learn to be inspired by the lyrics, or vice versa. I think the band is doing a good thing by raising awareness of current issues; whether you agree or disagree with the band's politics, maybe you'll stop and think about why you believe the way you do. |
