| Mk. Everyone who's saying mcr is gay and emo, stop. It's been done. And it's a horrible excuse to not like a band. Also, people who say that they make people want to kill themselves/slit their wrists, please get some evidence before you assume. The majority of their fans say that they've saved their lives. I'm not saying their music can't be depressing, any music can, in a sense. If you make it be depressing. Plus, most of their lyrics are metaphoric, and a lot of people tend to not take that into consideration. I don't think it's very mature what Marilyn Manson did, but it's no reason to hate someone. And if you don't like a bands music, still, you should respect what they're doing and that they're trying. The music business is hard to deal with (obviously), especially with so many teenagers calling you emo and such.. Which doens't make any sense because ALL music is and will be emotional. They're just trying to help kids and get their message across. People need to grow up and learn to accept that they're staying despite what you say. Insulting them won't change or help anything. First of all, how exactly do you know that he cut? Or that he even said that it "makes him feel better"? You can't explain reasons why people cut because for everybody it's different. Something drives them to it. And even if some people cut for attention, something's still wrong. If they go that far just for some spotlight.
And how can you call cutting 'low'? You used to, you said so yourself. Obviously it was an attention-seeking activity for you if you simply 'got over it,' seeing as for most people... it's not that easy of a journey. It's a terrible, addicting thing. And shouldn't be taken lightly in the first place.

| Now, let's get one thing straight. MCR have not been copying MM in anyway; he's just trying to get some publicity. They're both good artists and MCR used to sort of look up to MM - but I doubt they have any repect left for him now. They haven't done anything to provoke this attack; MM just knows that they won't retaliate because they're smart enough to know that shit-talkng other bands isn't worth it. Also, you're raving about this one little speech MM did?! MCR send out messages and conduct speeches about many issues through interviews, public appearances and very often in their lyrics! For instance, the popular MCR song 'Teenagers' is about rejects or loners or simply depressed kids taking guns to school and shooting up their entire school. Yet, when you over look MM's lyrics, it's nothing but a bunch of crap whining because his sales are dropping and another artist, in this case MCR, are much more popular and deeper then he. MM's older material was much much MUCH better. Another thing: the only thing you MCR-haters can come up with as to why you dislike MCR is that 1. they're 'gay' and 2. they're 'emo'. They're neither. If you could be arsed to go on youtube and search around for Gerard Way/MCR talking about 'emo', you'll find that in no way are MCR emo and that they hate being steretyped into that category. Gerard also called emo a pile of sh*t. As for being gay; they're all married/engaged/in relationships with women. SO that basically puts a stop to that 'comeback'. That reminds me; homophobia is another subject MCR are strongly against. Maybe you MM supporters should google it.
In conclusion, I really think MM should just back off and try to write something a little more imaginative and just let MCR be. |
