La sparizione delle sagome dei camerieri fuori dai ristoranti non è avvenuta in una data precisa.
Sono cose che misteriosamente accadono... come la comparsa dei biscotti Togo al cioccolato.

Quando ero piccolo il massimo erano le ciuingam a palline dentro la boccia. Perchè una cosa va
detta: anche se i telefilm erano in bianco e nero c'era sempre una cosa a colori, la boccia delle ciuingam.
Poi sono venute le prove tecniche di trasmissione.
Se eri fortunato ti poteva capitare di avere un amico con l'antenna esatta che captava la Svizzera o Capodistria.
Tele Capodistria era un vulcano di emozioni.
Film partigiani dove i tedeschi erano cattivi e i partigiani buonissimi e intelligentissimi. Un paradiso socialista.
Dopo le palline sono arrivate le Riprova sarai più fortunato.
Le più ambite erano quelle di Fort Apache e se superavi la prova potevi lanciarti dalle Brooklyn, la gomma del ponte.
Al tempo però le ciuingam avevano un mucchio di sapori in più ed il meglio, il più rivoluzionario, era il Cinnamon.
Il Cinnamon era il vero gusto da Black Panthers, da Malcolm X. Il Cinnamon è la cannella, ma non vale.
Il Cinnamon quando è arrivato il riflusso, lo hanno abolito.
Evaporato, sparito. Uno andava al bar e trovava solo le Centerfresh, quelle con dentro il liquido. Ciuingam da maggioranza silenziosa. La sinistra calava ed ecco
comparire le ciuingam del capo che mangia pesante.
Pesante. Erano tempi difficili. C'era chi si dava alle Stimorol danesi e chi si drogava con le Dentigomma che si trovavano solo in farmacia.
Poi il miracolo. Un giorno, al Circolo Gramsci, preso dallo sconforto per avere scoperto che esistono le Big Babol Revolution, ho gettato l'occhio dietro ai Boeri e alle liquerizie Goleador. Le Cinnamon erano tornate.
Strano che l'Unità non avesse detto niente.
Alle Cinnamon e a tutti i compagni caduti bisognerebbe dedicare una piazza davanti ad un ipermercato.
